Terry Germany became interested in photography while still a child after receiving a Kodak Brownie camera kit one Christmas. In high school he expanded his photography knowledge by taking elective courses in the subject for 2 years. He entered several local and statewide contests, doing quite well at a young age and enrolled in Junior College with “becoming a photographer” his ideal.
It was at this time he developed a keen interest in creating images that were out of the ordinary, winning several awards for both his wildlife shots and his abstracts. He also gained an all encompassing interest in training and photographing dog.
He spent the next 25 years as a dog trainer competing in AKC events and then progressing into Schutzhund and Police Service Dog Competition. He competed both nationally and internationally where he was awarded Master Level Certificates by U.S., German and World training organizations.
During this time he also mastered the video camera. He produced training videos of competition in tracking, obedience, and protection , along with having multiple photos published in several sporting dog journals. In 1996 he switched breeds and produced videos of waterfowl and upland game hunting and training.
Terry’s wife and partner, J.C. Barlow is a recognized expert in the field of video teleconferencing as well as highly skilled in the information arena.
